1、Overview
The motor thermal protector can be used with an external 200-400vac power supply. This product is small and exquisite and easy to install.
Due to long-term overload, frequent startup, insulation aging, phase failure, low power grid quality or damage to the motor cooling system, the motor will be seriously heated and even burned out.
It can be seen that among the factors causing motor damage, temperature is the first and current is the second. Therefore, it should be the most reliable to directly detect the temperature of motor winding with thermal sensor (PTC).
This product adopts this method to protect the motor.
2、Use
This product is used together with PTC temperature sensor and can be used for various motors that need protection.
When the temperature of the protected motor rises due to any fault, the PTC resistance of the temperature sensing element jumps to the high resistance state. At this time, the motor thermal protection relay is released, that is, the control circuit of the motor is cut off to achieve the purpose of protection.
After cutting off the motor control circuit for 5 minutes, the protector will automatically return (the protection relay is pulled in).
